Sistema Cyprus announces a series of two unique concerts, aimed at showcasing the musical development of its young musicians. Through these special events, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the Intermediate Orchestras of Nicosia and Larnaka, the Beginner Orchestras of Nicosia and Larnaka, as well as the Junior Orchestra of Nicosia. 🎶
🎭 First Concert at the G. Lykurgos Municipal Theatre, Larnaka:
In the first concert of the series, Sistema Cyprus returns to the Larnaka Municipal Theatre on 📅 Saturday, March 14th at 6:00 p.m. The young musicians from the Intermediate Wind and Percussion Orchestra of Larnaka and the Intermediate Strings and Percussion Orchestra of Nicosia join forces for an inspiring musical evening that draws inspiration from different musical cultures and historical periods.
The young musicians of Sistema Cyprus are preparing to offer the audience a vibrant and dynamic concert experience, performing works for winds, strings, and percussion. The programme includes much-loved pieces such as Habanera and Toreador’s Song from Bizet’s Carmen, as well as Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet. 🌟 A special highlight of the evening will be the first official concert appearance of the Larnaka Beginner Wind and Percussion Orchestra, as these young musicians share the stage with their more experienced peers.
Through this rich variety of works, the concert highlights the power of music to bridge cultural gaps, encourage dialogue and collaboration, and promote social inclusion. The concert will be held under the artistic direction of the Artistic Director and Maestro of Sistema Cyprus, Santiago Ossa Alzate.
